Texas turning blue is about as likely as Kalifornia turning red.

So, the logic goes that those tired of high taxes flee to low tax states, but will vote to eventually raise taxes. Liberalthink. Although I confess, I know some libs who would do just that.

Many Hispanics in Texas are conservative Catholics. They are unlikely to support Democrat candidates who approve of abortion up to and including the delivery date of a child.

Texas turning blue is about as likely as Kalifornia turning red.

Given that the high populations areas are already solid blue, I wouldn't be so sure.

Give it time in Texas. The mexicans lost Texas do in part to immigration. The reverse is also happening. People from all over are moving here.

No, it will happen by 2030 for sure unless there is a radical change in demographic trends.

Georgia is also very close to going blue for the same reason.

Trump won an incredibly narrow victory. Congressional seats are gerrymandered to favor the GOP because they controlled the last two redistrictings. The 2020 Census will see a huge increase the number of Democratic voters who have to be put somewhere. It will be really hard in many states to pack the increased number of D voters in the same few districts like they are now.

We can’t get over confident. Trump’s victory was like a tying three pointer at the buzzer that keeps us in a game we were about to lose. It’s way too early to get cocky.
