All should appreciate the FBI speaking up. I wish more of our leaders would. But take heart: American history shows that, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up. Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy.
I was not referring to individual agents. The leadership sets the tone for any organization.
However, you make a lot of good points.

A word of advice FBI. If your people are breaking the law you better come clean.
There is no way to clear your credibility from the outside.
Clean your house then you can present it again. Looks kinda filthy right now.
The FBI is making a mistake by not being proactive by cleaning house and changing the way they do business in the Headquarters themselves. By not dong so, outsiders who do not understand the work they are commissioned to do, make the changes. When that happens gross errors will result. Too bad they have failed to do a self-analysis and take corrective action.

Didn’t they also WEAONIZE the IRS? Also when Obama first got elected didn’t the government attack conservative car dealers. This all makes it looks like a historical trend of the Democratic party to slay conservatives in the USA.
Jeff Duncan would be a good replacement for Gowdy. Both from my district here in SC.
Jeff Duncan is my rep too. Be prepared however for all of the low IQ knuckleheads on FR who constantly berated Gowdy for not personally handcuffing Hillary to do the same to Duncan. Many of the posters on FR have no understanding of the separation of powers in different branches of government. In any case, Jeff is going to be a good one.
