In a rare public statement on Wednesday, the FBI said that it has "grave concerns" about a Republican-crafted memo alleging corrosive abuse of U.S. surveillance powers by the Justice Department that is expected to be released in the coming days.
"With regard to the House Intelligence Committees memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it," the bureau said.
"As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memos accuracy."

The monolith of the FBI.
I have “grave concerns” about exactly who put out this statement. It just says “the FBI . . . “
We all know that a four-page memo has to omit things that some might like to see included. #ReleaseTheMemo
Well, as a tax paying US citizens I have grave concerns about how the FBI, DOJ, IRS became politicized by the Obama administration. Drain the swamp ...
“Seemingly” is the key. There were warnings the McCabe ‘firing’ was being overstated. There is some indication that the IG report calls MCabe for using FBI resources to support his wife’s campaign and it was the IG rather that The Memo that got him out the door a few weeks early.
Wray needs to go.
Who else in the FBI saw the memo besides Wray?
The FBI that issued this statement still reports to President Obama.
Would they prefer the following format?:
Damning fact.
But the FBI is composed of mostly hard working and honest professionals.

But the FBI is composed of mostly hard working and honest professionals.
Damning fact.
If they are that concerned, why not release ALL the documents related to this issue, including all the emails from McCabe, the two lovers, Comey, and Mueller, and let the public decide what was going on.
Exactly. The democrats can include their response in their memo and the American public can decide for themselves.
That isn’t the question they were asked. They were asked if releasing classified information in the memo would harm national security, not if it would embarrass the FBI.
Fake News! FBI Director Wray had counter-intelligence experts look at the memo & they determined there were no inaccuracies.
I expect the hysteria from the propaganda media to increase substantially over the coming weeks.
I believe they sense the end is near :)
This doesn’t pass the smell test. Access to the memo has been restricted beyond belief. According to what has been reported, the DOJ/FBI were screaming like stuck pigs about not being allowed to see the memo. On Sunday, Wray saw it, and had two deputies see it. That’s all. Now we’re supposed to believe that Wray allowed an un-attributed “Official FBI” statement saying that there were significant material omissions to be made publicly? Nope, sounds more like fake news than reality.
P.S. ‘I know were not supposed to leak. But the material omissions will force us to keep leaking until the public really gets it. Then we will do better. Promise.’
Perhaps The Hill is using the Washington Post story that said Rottenstein and Wray begged Kelly to convince Trump to withhold the memo. The WaPo article quoted unnamed sources.
The Bureau cant say sh!t. *WHO* said this???
I noticed that too. No names.
I have “grave” concerns about having deep state traitors embedded in the FBI. #ReleaseTheMemo
And here is my response to the anonymous FBI: Save it for the trials.
