No, that wasn't drool on the lips of Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III. He says it was ChapStick. Twitter lit up with jibes about the 37-year-old Democrat's response to President Donald Trump's State of the Union.

The optics of a drooling Kennedy in front of a wrecked car (was it also wet?) are HORRIBLE optics - almost as bad as the optics of having a 'unified Resistance' message with FIVE Democrats giving the rebuttal speeches.

< The better optics were of a scowling Pelosi, whipping around to scold fellow Dems, looking like Trump just won the game of "Pin the Sphincer on the Donkey".

But apart from the drool, what of his speech? What of the content of the speech? It sounded like reheated overcooked recycled liberal pablum to me.

I think it’s funny to call it the Democrat response to the state of the union speech. Because it’s not really a response; it was written in advance. He didn’t offer rebuttals to anything Trump said. He just spewed forth liberal talking points.
