Newton, MA U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Charles E. Schumer today announced that Congressman Joe Kennedy III will deliver the Democratic response to President Donald Trumps joint address to Congress next week.
From health care to economic justice to civil rights, the Democratic agenda stands in powerful contrast to President Trump's broken promises to American families," said Congressman Kennedy. "Our vision for this union is guided by a simple belief that equality and economic dignity should be afforded to every American. I'm honored to have been chosen by Leader Pelosi and Leader Schumer to deliver our party's response."
Congressman Kennedy is a relentless fighter for working Americans, said Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. While President Trump has consistently broken his promises to the middle class, Congressman Kennedy profoundly understands the challenges facing hard-working men and women across the country. His leadership has been vital in educating a next-generation workforce, in creating good-paying manufacturing jobs and in expanding opportunities for the middle class.
Whether its the repeated attempts to dismantle our health care system, jamming through tax cuts for the largest corporations and the wealthiest or repealing protections for consumers, women and the most vulnerable Americans, President Trumps first year has been marred by his broken promises to the middle class, said Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer. In their responses to the Presidents address, Congressman Kennedy and Virginia Delegate Guzman will both do an excellent job in making clear that Democrats are laser-focused on enacting policies to benefit middle class Americans, not special interests or the wealthiest.
Currently serving his third term, Congressman Joe Kennedy III, 37, has emerged as a powerful voice for social and economic justice. Joe has championed affordable health care, vocational education, a livable minimum wage and American manufacturing. As a member of the influential House Energy & Commerce Committee, Joe has been a leader on issues that range from mental health and addiction to medical research and rising energy costs. His opposition to President Trumps health care plan garnered national attention, as have his efforts to reform this countrys badly broken mental health system. In Congress, he is a leading voice for LGBTQ equality, voting rights, civil rights and immigration reform. Prior to serving in Congress, Joe was an Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts and a member of the Peace Corps in Latin America. He received his undergraduate degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and his law degree from Harvard. He is married to Lauren Birchfield Kennedy, a health policy expert. They live with their children, Eleanor and James, in Newton, Massachusetts.
Bad lighting, bad room, bad camera angles, sweaty, nervous demeanor.
He looks like Otto Warmbier at his trial.
Whose idea was this?
This Kennedy dweeb is drooling... Anybody else notice? :-D
I disagree. Trump may certainly win the Electoral College in 2020, but he will lose the popular vote. Liberals and anti Trump independents will never change. If the Democrats lie to try and bring down Trump, to them the ends justify the means.
I live in Southern California, the heart of ant-Trumpism. The more sucess he has, the more hated he becomes.
California cost Trump the popular vote in 2016. He will lose California by an even larger margin in 2020. I’m sure he will lose badly in the usual liberal bastions as well (NY, MA, RI, CT, DE, NJ, MD, IL, MN, CO, VA, etc.)
And he’s DROOLING!!!!
One question:
Does he know how to swim ?
Has he taken the Red Cross Lifesaving course at the local pool ?
If this exploiting the Kennedy name thing doesn’t work out he can be a sponsor to Chapstick.
Why is Conan O’Brien on so early? And why is he so sweaty?
...and he’s drooling! EPIC FAIL
Hes on now, what an actor, lying but doing it with compassion. Oh so the Democrat way. Meaningless to all but the spoon fed fidiots.
Congressman Joe Kennedy III
He is not third. His daddy was Robert. Using the III appellation is just adding to the mythology
She be’ son black entertainment television. BET net. You may miss it. Where’s Bernie. I thought he was doing one too.
LOL!
Who cares what one more drunken Kennedy thinks?
Is that Teddy’s Olds 88 behind Joe.
Kennedy-Bottom of the barrel or back to the well. Nothing else out there? He’s not showcased for 2020-no one available.
Matters not. 30 million can vote democrap in California and it only buys 55 electoral votes!
so exactly how is he related to jfk?
It sounds like “ I choose a dream speech”
Cant believe how lame his speech is; never mind, I can believe it.
