$2,200 worth of alcohol — 121 bottles of wine and 241 cans of beer

Slightly more than one bottle of cheap wine and two cans of beer per passenger for each leg of the flight. And those are long flights. So what's the big deal? Sorry, I don't get it.

“...week-long official trip to China...”

Well, it IS a long flight there, and flying around in China, and the return flight to Canada. As a veteran of several trans-Pacific flights, it doesn’t sound like so much, especially given that these were free and not bought at airline prices.

Two cans of beer each way on a very long flight doesn’t seem excessive to me. Someone else could have most of my wine.

When you think about it, 400 bottles of wine onboard and they only killed 121 of them...does seem a bit off peak performance for Canadians.

On the other hand, if the beer was Unibroue’s La Fin du Monde, a couple of those and it’s definitely naptime.

Hey, they need to check the pockets and luggage of them, considering the thieving nature of politicians from that party. Thanks ameribbean expat.

That’s not particularly environmentally friendly, considering that it represents considerable weight.
