The Senate failed this evening to pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which wouldve banned abortions after 20 weeks, after Democrats filibustered the bill. In a 5146 vote, the bill failed to make it out of debate and to a final floor vote.

History helps provide perspective. Evil as things are, were living with the Tabernacle Choir as compared to the Imperial Romans. And Carthage was apparently even worse. We still have freedom of movement, we can still mostly speak, and we arent yet being physically martyred. And there seems to still be time to prepare, pray, and work on turning the culture from the abyss.
I think we should take that Grace for all its worth.
The big responses to Jesus are in China and the underground churches where they suffer as Christians always have. It's not the days Nero or other times like the horrors of the moors...but dang we are merely one country and small in numbers comparatively. But again by God's Grace we are so blessed to be living in the United States. Indeed we are blessed!
We are Blessed. And We are our Brothers keeper. But I wonder how far we can go with that in practice? At what point does our duty to be our Brothers Keeper yield to the admonition to shake the dust from our sandals?
I dont know.
I have noticed that Im a lot happier working on things that are more obviously within my scope of influence.
Good question. Usually when you cannot gain ground via the HS and people slander your belief. I have a pretty radical atheist neighbor and he is kind but he sure gets quickly offensive if it even sounds like i MIGHT say something biblical. I laugh at this. Last time it happened was Thanks Giving. We were all supposed to be thankful for something but when it got to me he just changed the subject and dug in. Not shaking my sandals on that one but speaking of Jesus to him is not acceptable and he has his freedom of volition. But I’m his neighbor. Maybe someday he’ll ask me a question without the deriding comments.
I think you made the right choice. You live next to this person. Its ultimately their free will. Bound to be some gray areas.
