The Flu Is FAR WORSE Than We’re Being Told: Tens Of Thousands Of Americans Are DYING

We all know that this year’s flu season is bad. I have been pouring over numbers and reports over the past few days, and it’s actually even worse than we’re hearing about. Tens of thousands of Americans are dying. It’s now worse than the 2009 swine flu outbreak and is on track with the 2014-15 strain. And it’s not showing any signs of slowing down.

Despite this, the media is downplaying the severity of the flu and the government makes the statistics pretty difficult to find. Are they trying to avoid a panic? Do they know something we don’t?

The dominant Influenza strain this year is H3N2. This particular strain has a history of causing more hospitalizations and more deaths. According to the CDC:

In the past, H3N2-predominant seasons have been associated with more severe illness and higher mortality, especially in older people and young children, relative to H1N1- or B-predominant seasons. Between 1976 and 2007, for example, CDC estimates that an average of 28,909 people died from flu during H3N2 seasons, compared to 10,648 people during non-H3N2 predominant years.

In addition to H3N2 producing a more serious infection in general, this year’s particular H3N2 influenza virus is particularly virulent. The number of deaths due to influenza or complications to the flu, such as pneumonia (a secondary bacterial infection following influenza), varies from year to year.

An August 27, 2010 MMWR report entitled “Thompson MG et al. Updated Estimates of Mortality Associated with Seasonal Influenza through the 2006-2007 Influenza Season. MMWR 2010; 59(33): 1057-1062.,” provided estimates of the range of flu-associated deaths

Never heard of this Flu like Virus yet the Military is Vacinating for it, but the public is not.

There is a older 1 that has no Vaccine and is very region specific adult flu like symptoms Cytomagalic Virus. I learned about this 1 the hard way when my Ex brought it back from NAM in my last Trimester, needless to say our son was born with it and lived 33 days. It’s deadly in the Unborn.

So sorry. Sometimes it’s like that. Take care of yourself! Did they tell you to take the cough syrup with guafenesin? Last time I had pneumonia the doc recommended that to make it easier to cough all that junk up.

I’ll say that when I take the d3 every day I don’t get pneumonia. I’ve just got to make sure I keep up with ordering it.

A very popular AM talk show host here in Columbus, Ohio died unexpectedly last Saturday morning at the age of 61. John Corby started at 610 AM WTVN during the 1980s then spent a few years in Pittsburgh before returning to WTVN. I think he had about 30 years at WTVN. His folksy discussions with his producer Joe Bradley about the topics of the day were very popular as were his weekly episodes of The Big Bass Brothers. He and two other staffers attended local eateries and rated the location with 0 to 5 bellies. My wife and I have attended a few dozen mom and pop restaurants around the Columbus area that the Bass Brothers recommended.

After his passing, the station initially said he died of a heart attack but a few days later that changed to complications with the flu. I found a 4-5 minute interview he had with a female state official talking about the flu season, what to do, and the procedure in manufacturing the vaccine. It was posted 8 weeks ago so I assume it was from this year. In it, he said he had gotten his flu shot. So he had the treatment and ended up dying anyway. By the way, one of her comments during the interview was that if you got the shot and contracted the flu anyway, you were likely to have a less severe case. Guess that didn’t happen in this case.

I actually met John a few times while I was a student at Ohio State. I was friends with Bob Nunnally, who at the time worked for WNCI as a talk show host with Corby. Bob and I and 3 or 4 other friends got together every few months to play cards and Corby joined us several times.

Corby also played baseball for Ohio State and was a pretty good catcher. Will miss him.
