He made billions more shorting the Thai Baht and Malaysian Ringitt about five years after that. The Singapore Dollar suffered as well. I believe Malaysia still has a warrant out for insider trading and currency manipulation. There are more than a few people in that part of the world who think he should be awarded the Order of the Hempen Necktie for what he did.
