Yep when churches became social clubs more interested in earthly issues than the eternal salvation they became easy targets. The funny thing was they never realized that the looser and more humanist they became hoping to keep parishioners the quicker those parishioners moved on.
Amen to that!!
The elimination of the mandatory school readings came, I believe, at the point where they would have done little good anyhow. The school wasn’t positioned to be an arm of the church anyhow. It couldn’t be credible.
Private gospel sharing works better.
