Note that Jeremiah Wright’s magazine Trumpeteer honored Louis Farrakhan the Lifetime Achievement Trumpeteer award. The Award was presented at the 2007 Trumpet Gala held on November 2, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Not only is Trumpet owned and produced by Wright’s church out of the church’s offices, Wright’s daughters serve as publisher and executive editor of the magazine. The pastor obviously saw something he liked in the “controversial” leader. Wright’s speech, praising Farrakhan at the gala, also stole one of his famous anti-American lines from another famous Nation of Islam leader– Malcolm X.
