The employee responsible for sending a false mobile alert across Hawaii warning of an incoming ballistic missile is not cooperating with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) investigations looking into the matter, an FCC official said Thursday, according to media reports.
"We are quite pleased with the level of cooperation we have received from the leadership of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency thus far," Fowlkes said, according to Axios.
"We are disappointed, however, that one key employee, the person who transmitted the false alert, is refusing to cooperate with our investigation," she added. "We hope that person will reconsider."

More than that, it would take at least two people to sign off on it similar to the two-man teams in silos.
Does anybody have his or her name? If known, why not just publish it along with his/her home address and the name of any spouse or children. He/she certainly affected everyone else homes/spouses/kids in Hawaii. Seems fair to me to let it all be known.

I totally agree. Talking to the feds is a form of suicide. They are not to be trusted. When the government says its agents can lie to you, but it’s a crime for you to lie to them, that should tell a person all they need to know about talking to the feds.

Personally, we should reinstate drills locally and nationally. I know that the embarrassment of how Hawaiians responded should give them pause. Our family spent a few minutes discussing what we can and cannot do in certain emergencies--earthquake, fire, nuclear attack, zombies, whatever. 10 year old boys look forward to the zombies.

A very odd thing happened the other night watching the Australian Open men’s quarterfinals and not sure anyone has been following the Tennys Sandgren (a 26 Year old pro from Tennessee) drama unfold. Evidently Tennys is a Trump supporter, as well as a right winger who has a very active politically social life with twitter, etc. I guess he has made comments about pizzagate being real, other comments about Serena Williams, etc. actually, he sounds like he could be a Freeper. Any way, the BBC must have researched him and began questioning him and then other news outlets have really flamed him. He has had to make apologies, etc. SO he was just getting ready to serve the first ball of the match, in full service motion in Rod Laver Arena when an audible alert warning went off, sending quite a few out of the stadium. The authorities at the tournament were trying to determine it it was real and there was a little uncertainty for a while. The announcers were unsure what to do also but they did notice that Tennys was smiling and shaking his head and couldn’t believe how calm he was, I couldn’t either. But I think it is quite obvious that it was done intentionally to disrupt him and he knew it.
