At first glance it appears idiotic. However, years ago economist Milton Friedman advocated a “negative income tax” wherein every adult citizen in the lowest level would be give a lump sum every year as an alternative to welfare payments. Friedman was the polar opposite of liberal.

Leftist morons. How about lowering taxes and creating friendly economic climates for businesses to flourish and create more jobs for citizens. They will make more money than the welfare giveaway plus it generates more tax revenue for the city too. Can’t have that successful model—- not on the leftist agenda of communism/ socialism failure.

Sounds like more money for drink and drugs per family, no matter how ‘carefully’ the money is monitored.

Drug dealers will be the primary recipients of that money. The rest will be spent on home delivery pizza, new flat screen TVs and gaming consoles.

Making someone dependent on the state is a surefire way to build their self esteem!

Looks like someone took their stupid pills.
