Johnson was nervous as heck leading up to that revelation. Seemed weird. I thought it would be a big nothing interview but when Johnson spilled the beans he settled down some. He planned on making the announcement and picked his moment. Baier stopped him and tried to get him to expand on the statement but Johnson stuck to his talking points.
Because he is a US Senator, which is to say, a bullshit artist, and he is exhibit "A" for why Congress is the wrong place to expect criminal investigations to succeed.
