And it’s not a good idea, it’s a fun idea, but terrible in reality.

Why?
It's not like we don't already know about the NSA's domestic espionage, scooping up e-mails, texts, phonecalls, etc.
It's not like we don't know about the FBI's readiness and willingness to lie, destroy evidence, and perjure themselves because of politics/bad-optics.
(FBI: Bundy trial, LaVoy Finicum, Ruby Ridge, Waco, Hillary's emails, etc.)
It's not like we haven't seen, with your own eyes, government disregarding the Constitution completely.

What could possibly be in the memo that would jeopardize national security?

I seriously see what you’re saying, but....

IMHO, it’s not about national security, it’s about the ability to try the case in the court and not in the court of public opinion. Let Congress release the memo before the SOTU and we can all watch the Dems cower while they wait for each word he speaks. I just think he needs to stay above it and let his people take care of the release and the associated bad press. If Trump did read it at the SOTU, the MSM would explode and the underlying material wouldn’t be seen for months.
