How leftist of this Governor/these states.
.
>> “They arent going to carry while high anyway” <<
Bovine excrement!
Tokers are often fascinated by guns.
.
Why criticize the messenger who states a factual message?
He stated what’s going on in his state, since legalized weed passed, and that it can now happen in this state/other states who pass this, as well.
Well, since you’ve brought up the topic, I do think that you’re being stupid. By getting an MJ card, you’ve identified yourself as a habitual user of MJ and as such you’ve put your firearms and other rights at risk.
i have no problem with people using MJ for medical purposes or recreational purposes so long as they accept the risks inherent in that conduct. I’m not convinced that MJ is medically beneficial, but I’m perfectly fine with people making that decision for themselves.
All that said, current laws do limit habitual users from exercising their firearms rights. I don’t happen to agree with that, but that is the reality. If that’s a devil’s bargain you’re willing to make, so be it. But from my perspective that’s a stupid move.
“Why criticize the messenger who states a factual message?”
Because I don’t believe what he said is factually correct. :)
We should not criminalize everyone for any potential behavior by one or a few in a free society.
How about we legalize pot and get the Big Pharma pills off the market. Oh, that's right... you can grow pot in your backyard.
I don’t wish it on the people of VT, it’s just a factual inevitability, happens every time it’s tried. “A few” plants will turn into huge illegal grow ops run by criminals.
And since you don’t believe my reports of my area, you are obviously blinded by dope and your addiction to it.
Have fun losing brain functioning! All fun and games until it isn’t.
“By getting an MJ card, youve identified yourself as a habitual user of MJ”
Actually, I’m identified as having a condition that makes me eligible to use cannabis medicinally.
“and as such youve put your firearms and other rights at risk.”
Really? You know of a house to house searches too?
“Im not convinced that MJ is medically beneficial, but Im perfectly fine with people making that decision for themselves.”
It’s certainly proved medically beneficial to me. In January 2015 I was very close to being institutionalized for severe depression & anxiety. I weighed 289lbs & was a miserable blob of crap with no hope for things to ever improve. In February I started using cannabis in small amounts & the depression vanished plus the anxiety is now rare to non-existent. I weigh 207 lbs & walk 2-4 miles a day, weather permitting.
“I dont wish it on the people of VT, its just a factual inevitability, happens every time its tried. A few plants will turn into huge illegal grow ops run by criminals.”
As usual, you make claims you cannot back up with evidence of any kind. What you profess isn’t happening in Taxsachusetts or Washington DC and its been legal to have & grow there for a few years now.
“And since you dont believe my reports of my area, you are obviously blinded by dope and your addiction to it.”
I don’t believe anything Jake Tapper says either, little one. I guess cannabis has blinded me there as well, right? Figures you’d start with a fallacy lol.
When you actually can validate your hysterical claims about what’s happening in your area I will believe you. But since you notoriously push fallacy as fact AND you never have any corroborating evidence to share to validate your claims in any way shape or form I think you’re just another angry prohibitionist troll looking for attention.

I’m game!
But about 1 in 10 FReepers think Pharma poison is A-OK!
.
So you’re of the opinion that if we let “tokers” own firearms, that there will be “blood running in the streets? .”
I’ve heard that line before. Every time a state considered passing a shall issue law, the gun grabbers would appear like locusts, claiming that allowing mere citizens to carry firearms would cause “blood to run in the streets.” We’re at I think 45 states with shall issue or Constitutional carry. And those rivers of blood have yet to materialize.
Are there any studies or statistics that you can cite that indicate that the rate of violent crime, particularly involving firearms, has increased in CO or WA since legalization?

Gee gosh! - Where would you grow enough to matter in DC?
There is ample evidence just about everywhere else its been tried!
Some jerk bought the property across the road from our ranch for about twice what it was worth about a year ago to make a pot plantation. As soon as word got around we had every crook from Stockton to Madera swarming around on ATVs swiping everything that wasn’t anchored to the ground.
In a county that has only 12 sheriff deputies on duty normally, we suddenly had three of them in our area constantly just writing reports.

I see that you’re a Democrat running for office!
Quote yourself! You sure don’t pay any attention to what anyone else posts!
.
Here is an article on it. Your life, your risk.
LOL Hilarious!
No, I’ve come to loathe politics and have no interest in running for office whatsoever.
Am I misstating your argument? You seem to be concerned that legalizing MJ will cause undue risk with firearms. You’re obviously passionate about the subject and well versed. So please, enlighten us. Have you been able to find a study or statistic that indicates that MJ legalization has resulted in an increased risk of firearms violence? I can’t find such a study, but perhaps you’re aware of one?
Haha I’ve detailed my area and what is going on here in numerous threads. You want photos and live action video?
Call up the county sheriff’s office here, they’ll tell you, or the fire chiefs in my county.
We have so few sheriffs they can’t do anything about the crime, it takes 30-45 minutes even for a gunshot victim, of which we have more and more. What to speak of other crimes. OSP helps sometimes, but it is totally lawless out here.
Tokers are fascinated by a box of Oreos. Drunks get angry and want to go “shoot some Sum’b*tch!”
That is because of the limited legality. Growing pains... (quality juxtaposition of phrase there).
