Given our lowest in the nation murder rate with firearms, Vermont does NOT have a problem with our constitutional carry.

So which did Kuhner side with: fedgov and the batf, or the 2nd and 10th Amendments?

Well, no!

The constitution of the state of California clearly states that we have a right to transport ourselves and our goods upon the highways of the state.

“Vermont is a constitutional carry state, and pot and guns cannot mix. Something has to give.”

Why? So the state if Vermont has allowed a subset of it’s population to lobotomize itself. How should that affect people who carry firearms which is largely a different subset of the population?

Constitutional carry notwithstanding, several states that have shall issue concealed carry also have legalized MJ. Not aware of any significant problems with that.

Sorry, but no!

That is exactly the problem; there is no differentiation of the two. There will have to be though.

I don’t see it. You would have to acknowledge being addicted to MJ or be dumb enough to get a card that identifies you as a habitual abuser (medical MJ user). Although I agree that some people are too stupid to carry a firearm and getting a medical MJ card is probably prima facie evidence of stupidity.

Now Vermonters can experience the hell I’m experiencing in OR. Mobs of thugs, felons, dopers and homeless will coverge to the state.

Play stupid games and the prizes are stupid too.

Here in OR we still have very good gun laws and the legalized growing has turned rural areas, especially the ones with the perfect growing climate, into mayhem. Even many voters who voted to allow legal growing are sorry.

Not really. I assume there is no requirement to register as a MJ user in VT if you purchase for recreational use. Or if you happen to grow. There will be no way to differentiate between people who use and don’t use as a practical matter.

My observation of most, but not all gun owners is that they’re sober and serious people. They aren’t going to carry while high anyway, if they’re so inclined to get high in the first place. MJ is legal use inVT is legal, not obligatory. Same as CO or the several other shall issue states that already have legalized it.

As a thankful medical marijuana patient here in the state of Florida I can’t help but laugh & shake my head at your absurdities.

Cannabis is medicine for myself & millions of others. I didn’t wake up one day & think, “Hey, let’s start using cannabis at 53 because it’s cool & I can just be high all the time.” I found cannabis in a desperate search for relief from depression & anxiety thanks to a friend who suggested I look into it.

I thank my Heavenly Father every day for this wonderful medicine.

Here in Florida, medical marijuana card’s are expensive & require dealing with the state paper pushers regularly or you lose your card. Plus you are only allotted so many milligrams in a 70 day time period. If you use up all your allotment before the end of the 70 days you don’t get to buy more till the next 70 days starts. The medicine itself is very expensive no one has insurance to help pay for it.

But hey, we’re “stupid” in your ignorant eyes lol

What a thing to wish on a state of people. SMH.

Says more about you than the folks in Vermont, IMO.

Yeah. It’s always amazing to me how many “small government” conservatives demand that government spend resources to prohibit otherwise peaceful conduct they don’t happen to agree with. Such as using MJ.
