It is so difficult to even understand. On one hand there are the “dreamers” who have been here many decades and who didn’t bother to become citizens... then there are people like my nephew’s wife from Russia. They did it all by the letter of the law and it literally took a few YEARS to get her here and a legal citizen. She is a joy, a treasure, a petite blonde. They have two young kids now. It was a long journey to legalize her. Then there is my Chinese neighbor. Li became a US citizen after moving here. Married a US citizen. They have 2 young children. She is a sweet gal. To get her mom to come over for a few month when Li had a baby, they had to LIE on the application. The government was afraid Li’s mom would stay here. Both of these women are wonderful US citizens now, did it all legally, and hit a wall every step of the way. But the left only wants to protect the people who come here ILLEGALLY. Odd. Very odd indeed. Unless they need an underclass for labor and votes. Only thing that would explain it.
My stepmom did it legal. Took several years.
