Sessions announces DOJ probe of missing FBI text messages [Inspector General found the 5 month gap]
The Hill ^

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Monday announced the Justice Department will investigate missing text messages sent between two FBI agents critical of President Trump, joining the chorus of Republican lawmakers who are eager to recover the exchange.

"I have spoken to the Inspector General and a review is already underway to ascertain what occurred and to determine if these records can be recovered in any other way. If any wrongdoing were to be found to have caused this gap, appropriate legal disciplinary action measures will be taken," he continued.

No no you miss understand! The IG found out that there was a 5 month gap from DOJ...that after reviewing whatever he was looking into...he noticed something was missing, that being the five month gap of texts between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok. Sara Carter just said that reports are that the IG did get them somehow maybe in a raw form way before someone in the FBI apparently wiped them clean. Basically he found obstruction of justice and notified Sessions

I'm watching the same segment. Lordy (hehe) I hope the OIG has them. If so, then perp walks are inevitable.

We need to put top people in charge of the investigation, expert investigators whose integrity is beyond question. Is Comey available?

“Jeff woke up?”
*****************
I really hope he is “waking up” and is realizing that Rod Rosenstein is either intentionally or unintentionally neglecting his responsibility to keep Mueller on task and ONLY on task. I hope he is waking up and recognizing that the DOJ/FBI Deep Staters are running a criminal enterprise.

But it’s only a hope as of now and not yet a reality.

For most people seeing a 5 month gap would be a huge red flag and would be found within days.

My question: How long did it take the IG to find it? 6 months?

Our government is corrupt and incompetent.

Drain the swamp.

Well that’s nice to see that Sessions woke up and just now realizes
5 months of texts are missing.

It was Gregg Jarrett who said it on Hannity tonight that from what he learned the IG initially got all of the texts up to May 17, 2017....now he might not had read and review them all at that time but he got what he wanted and then they came up missing when the FBI told Senator Johnson that a glitch didn’t preserved the 5 months of Stzrok texts.... Sara Carter said that if that’s true and someone removed those texts then that’s clear obstruction of justice

Admiral Rogers still holds the reins at the NSA. He clued the President in on the surveillance at Trump Towers. I think he’s loyal to the constitution. At least Q thinks so.

Funny. I am watching the same show and did not hear Gregg say they
had the missing texts in raw form.

Gregg is a legal expert. Carter is an investigative reporter.
Carter would be the one who knows.

The first half delt with nothing but missing texts.
Jay Seculow was ranting and raving about the missing texts.

If the texts were not missing, why was he ranting about the missing texts?

If McCabe is found to have ANY involvement in this, I hope they FIRE his corrupt ass IMMEDIATELY —- mere weeks before he becomes eligible in March for a lucrative immediate retirement. It couldn’t happen to a “nicer” guy.

Wel, one one hand, you can’t just start walking out high level government coup plotters in donkey chains and orange jumpers on live television in front of the American sheeple. They’re afraid if that comes to pass, the country would become ungovernable.

One the other hand, they can’t just cover it up because the scope of corruption is beyond imaginable.

Again, just imagine if Mrs Xlinton had won. . .

Starts with announced UNPAID leave of absence. Yep.

And then they are released with ZERO Government pension.

I should have recorded the show and could immediately go back to it and show you but I guess I have to wait until it’s replayed. It was quick but I know what I heard Jarrett say... it was basically that

Apparently, Sessions didn’t find them. Congress found out they were missing when they were subpoenaed. Sleepy Sessions is clearly asleep at the wheel at DOJ.

I don’t think there is an argument here. Trump was emphatically disappointed in Sessions dormancy and was in a trap to decline his resignation. After that Sessions had to give over the Justice Department to RosenSWAMP ( 🎩 tip Free Reign). The Republic was burning and Sessions was fiddling. I heard his testimony defending doing nothing on investigating Hillary and deep state. Of course all of what has been suspected for months and months is now exploding all over, so he is getting some kind of message from somewhere. I suspect the Hill has finally lost patience with him and said we’re done defending you from Trump firing his azz.

>>Can you post a link to support your opinion that the DOJ has found
the missing 5 months of text?<<

I think what he means is that the DOJ discovered that five months of text were missing, not that the texts were found.

In August 2017 Page and Strzok were removed from the Special Prosecutor team.

So why has it taken 6 months for the IG to find 5 months of text messages are missing?

In a credible organization if a person was removed for cause in August 2017, then the management would want to collect all of their phones and computers and make copies of all data.

Again, governments are so incompetent and their incompetence is overwhelming.

The IG allegedly has 500 Very Special Agents to sort through all sorts of Matters.

Are they at all competent?
