No, I Think it’s innocent and harmless. I think they just have a screw loose, and need to feel they are part of some epic adventure story.
Q nation has begun to sort itself out. Some are information disseminators, the ;scholars and the researchers. Some are soldiers, and have been tasked with defending the scholar/ priests. There are rare warrior/priests who can multitask. Grey Whiskers and Jocko come to mind.
The information scholars will keep us informed, and the soldiers will keep the sidewinders, tenderfoots, and bushwackers at bay.
Thus as it has always been, and thus it shall ever be.
And as far as them winning? When they win? They still lose.
