Do you all remember the text messages they sent about their texts being absolutely private on FBI phones? I thought at the time that that was kinda of silly, since we were reading that text. Now though, it makes sense!

Yepp. Everyone on that “system” would have to be analyzed to see how many were deleted during the exact dates in question, and the relationships of these people to each other. Typically, in a large organization IT system failure, an email goes out to the potentially impacted user community notifying of the deletion incident. I’d look for that email notice too. This is going to require forensic IT work, and the 1st wedge is the IT nerds and management who work and touch that system,...who worked on the “project”. Right now I am having a hard time seeing this done without outside investigator / prosecutor for obvious reasons.
