The Star Tribune reported that Hassan’s attorney, Patrick Nwaneri, asked for $5,000 bail, but Ramsey County District Judge Sophia Vuelo rejected the request, saying that Hassan was a threat to public safety.Hassan was being held on $100,000 bail at the Ramsey County Jail. Her next court hearing was scheduled for Feb. 28. She had not yet entered a plea.
Additionally, the court issued a “stay away” order banning Hassan from St. Catherine’s campus, and ordered her to turn over her passport.
