During a discussion about religious freedom in America, Dr. Alveda King, the niece of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said that Facebook had "pulled down" ads for a movie about Roe v. Wade because the social media giant does not "want the message of the injustice of abortion broadcast," which, she added, is a "violation of religious freedom" and "very discriminatory."
Dr. King is one of the executive producers of the movie, which includes Hollywood actor Jon Voight. The fundraising website for the film can be viewed at Roevwademovie.com.
Dr. King made her remarks during a special edition of Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, who is the president of the Family Research Council (FRC). The live show on Tuesday was broadcast on the Facebook page of the FRC in honor of Religious Freedom Day. President Donald Trump proclaimed Jan. 16, 2018 as Religious Freedom Day on Tuesday.
While discussing religious liberty in America and abroad, both Tony Perkins and Dr. King praised the power of social media to spread information and especially the Gospel. However, as Dr. King explained, social media is not as freedom-loving as one might think.

I bought his ‘89 LeBaron convertible.
Sometimes he misspells his name as “John”.
He also bit Cosmo.
In all seriousness, Jon is a great conservative.
I love Alveda!
Misleading headline clickbait article.
Delete your Facebook accounts and never look back. You will never regret it and you will experience weekly news reiterating and justifying why you did so.
What are you talking about?
Facebook censored promotional ads because this film is pro-life.
In what sense is the headline misleading?
Do your homework and stop parroting the article.
Wipe that snooty snot off your face and maybe you will be taken as more than a troll.
Typical coming from a gang loving stalking thread hijacker.
Or, rather, you could avoid posting worthless nonsense with zero explanation of claims that don’t match reality.
And you could quit acting as if other people are supposed to jump at your suggestion and do your homework for you.
I read the article. Nothing you posted makes sense. Unless, of course you have some weird loathing toward the prolife cause.
Do you?
DITTO!!!
“I read the article. Nothing you posted makes sense. “
Perhaps you should expand your data base past this clickbait site.
“And you could quit acting as if other people are supposed to jump at your suggestion and do your homework for you.”
I do my own homework. Now do yours!
“I do my own homework. Now do yours!”
If you did your homework, you would be in a position to actually provide a brief summary of what you’ve found. Not just your biased opinion.
It takes no effort at all. It’s the actual point of doing your homework.
So, if for example, you think bitcoin is a good investment (or bad), and you’ve done tons of research, you can simply state I think thus and so about bitcoin because of X, Y, and Z.
Then others can actually verify your claims. But if you simply state bitcoin good (or bad). That’s not a conversation.
Free Republic is not your bully pulpit.
“Perhaps you should expand your data base past this clickbait site.”
You’ve labelled multiple sites that way. There are people who do not like WND’s format, some of their more obscure philosophical views, or even their methods of hooking readers. But they are not clickbait. They are real journalists. Like the kind that used to do news before fake news and the Goebel-style propaganda.
Now I may prefer Breitbart for straight up news, but WND brings a lot of value to the table with their independence and field work. Often WND has exclusive content and is first or nearly first with breaking news.
And that’s more than you’re doing when you troll these threads and crap all over them.
Again, rather than just go to every post from a source you dislike and trash them, either share the specifics of what you disagree with, or be prepared to defend your nasty comments. Because what you’re posting is worse than clickbait. It’s just unproductive bloviating.
