......well, I can answer that one. If your tied to the dock all winter on a Navy Warship most likely you will want to hang yourself..............depending on your c/o and you job on board. If you have a boots and saddles type Captain it will be drills, training 24/7.

If your in a great liberty port, you might survive (mentally).

And, it depends on your job. I was the only postal clerk on board and my off hours were mine. No one messes with the PC. Not even the Captain!

That’s a fact. Our division officer had the ship’s post office as a collateral duty. I got appointed as the assistant postal clerk. Lots of fun with the ship’s car.
