We left New Jersey when we discovered the Teachers’ Union had the republican party’s collective junk in a locked box.
There was not one...including Christie...republican who had the spine and brass ones, that a real strong man/woman should have.
And we are saving 5000 dollars in taxes.
Christie was vilified by the teachers’ unions (for which the Democratic Party is the de facto political arm) because by capping property tax increases at 2% he ensured that when teachers got 3% raises, there were less teachers the next year. Certainly happened in my town; Trenton is broke, and there was no “emergency funding” available.
Despite Christie’s efforts to improve things, it is impossible to hide the fact that “homeowners” in NJ are just tenants of the teachers’ unions.
