“”Who knows why? Your guess is as good as mine.””
Because you’re a man, that’s why. We women have decided that men are all alike. I had a beauty operator explain it one time in the ‘50’s....as she was cutting my hair. Men don’t have the fuss and muss of taking care of long hair - they want to see it spill out on a pillow, always silky and shiny. When I got home, yep - my husband had a fit. I’d worn it long since high school and by golly, that’s the way it should have stayed.
Long hair on a woman until age approximately 30 may be ok IMO. After that, they are simply trying to hold back the calendar and it doesn’t work. I actually saw a person in the grocery store aisle the other day (I was behind her) and I swore I’d traveled back to the ‘60’s.....long scraggly GRAY hair down below her waist. She apparently had come down from the hills to take in a bit of grocery shopping. Hadn’t owned a pair of scissors since 1965.
Straggly hair looks terrible at any age. But, your main point is correct. I am a guy who happens to think that sensuous long hair on a woman is a primal aphrodisiac. And while I help my wife, I don’t do the lion’s share of hair care for her.
BTW, my wife is 61, and she wears her hair, still 95% brown, down past her waist. It’s awesome! *smile*
