People actually buy Concessions at Theaters??
People can’t go 2-3 hours without putting something in their mouths?? LOL!!
I haven’t bought one single thing to eat or drink at the movies in 35 years.
Took my daughter, rather she took me, to see the 15th ?anniversary of `Spirited Away’ a few years ago, a DVD movie we watched together more than once when she was a sprout.
She wanted popcorn and drink. I look at the `menu’: two small drinks and popcorn: $20+. Gal in the paper hat asked me if she could help me. Curmudgeon that I am replied `No. Not at those prices.’
Better looking version of me agreed going to Culvers for Butterburgers later for the same $$ made more sense. I doubt the gnosh food has gotten any cheaper since my last visit.
The burgers were excellent. Make sure you biographers put that in the book on my life that you’re writing.
Chapter 9. tumblindice goes to the movies
I wait until a movie I want to see hits the Dollar (now $2) Theater.
$2 for the ticket and $10.50 for a large buttered popcorn and large drink. Free refills on the drink and popcorn.
I like sitting in a theater and I just really go for the bag of buttered popcorn.
I see about 1 movie every 6 weeks or so. One of my vices.
Oh, and I go to the late afternoon movie so the popcorn is supper.
