No mention of Fake news.
Sharyll Atkisson to report on President’s Fake News Awards.
I’ve begun to think that those NeverTrumpers very well may be as stone dirty Swamper as anyone and are simply showing their true colors.
....while they frantically try to grab the last bit of loot and scrub away the evidence of their past criminality.
I’m done with all of them.
Let the shutdown go on. The Trump voters love it and it is the only way to get the Dems attention.
The longer it goes the more pressure Schumer is going to feel since he is only keeping it closed to legalize illegal Mexicans which is a losing battle.
Shut it Down!
Mick Mulvaney Orders Federal Agencies to Prepare for Massive Cuts
I remember Cheech and Chong. Loved them. Often I smoked weed along with them.
I posted this story on Facebook and most comments involved whether to return the money, or how.
One holier-than-thou Facebook friend tells how she found $80 cash in a grocery story doorway. She says she returned the money to the manager in he store. Later in the week, when she asked about it, she was told that the store has a joint tip jar and since no one came to claim the money, all the store employees split the money.
I scratch my head and ponder what it must be like to be THAT stupid.
Giving cash money for someone to care for and return to some unknown owner....how dumb is that?
I’m not sure if her story was true and I was gracious. She wanted to be revered and admired (she is a really nice person, if a bit dumb) and people like that annoy the hell out of me.
99.99% of the people keep cash money they find because the idiot you originally lost it should have been paying attention.
I do not see a plethora of gray matter here.
According to Wallace the media is as pure as the wind driven snow.
Trump is simply fighting back which is verboten among Repub circles. You must stay above the fray like GW did. Worked out pretty well for him at 25% approval as the media punching bag. Trump don’t play that game, he throws haymakers.
BTW anyone know how to turn off the writeover feature on FR. It is completely annoying.
Of course, you are not responding to what I actually wrote.
On Fox they are talking some movie in Afghanistan.
I was talking about the futility of this campaign the other day, We done Ok dislodging AQ, but you can never rule Afghanistan, Historically it is a land of thiefdoms and warlords
Sure our special forces grew beards and played Bashki with Dostum
Even Hannibal could not rule there.
Pulling out of Iraq was a HUGE mistake, Mesopotamia and Persia have millennia of civilized society, and Obama turned his back on them, There is no reason to remain in Afghanistan.
Iraq? We could have split the middle east with freedom from the Bosporus traits in Turkey to the Persian gulf
We had it sewn up
now Erdogan is all over the place
Enough of my opinion
Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, the Arab Spring were all treason in my mind
Trump is not the divider.
Sorry in advance for the long post!
Here’s some REAL history for you from one who was there—me!
The Deep State problem was the fall of the Soviet Union. As long as they had a foreign enemy, they were on our side.
I was at the Defense Intelligence Agency in the 1980s—we worked hand-in-hand with CIA, and then under the NSA from 1991-1996. When we had the Cold War mission, everyone acted like a patriot, civilian and military, and we did a good job, I think, containing them.
When the Wall fell, you could read the despair in every senior leaders face. There was no longer a defined mission.
I clearly remember at the Pentagon in the Summer of 1990, when walking in from North parking, how everyone had a glum look on their face. I mentioned this to a good friend. There were dozens of rumors going around that Dick Cheney (then Sec Def), was going to start HUGE cuts—the so-called Peace Dividend.
So August 2nd, 1990. Saddam Hussein invades Kuwait.
Within two days everyone at the Five Sided Monkey House was walking with a fast, new confidence, determined looks and smiles on all their faces! Operation “Save our Jobs” had begun!
Well, seriously, Saddam had to be stopped, and we did it.
But within a year, by the Summer of 1991, that war was over. The real cuts began. I went to Europe that year. Many famous and old standing units assigned to Europe were just sent home rather than returning back to their permanent bases in Germany, Italy and the UK.
My career from about 1992-1996 was going to different bases, posts, and casernes in Europe closing stuff: removing and properly disposing of classified computers and their data, closing military circuits, and taking down whole systems. It was a lot of work! I had to leave a 30 meter dish at the end of the runway at Subic Bay, Greece because we couldn’t fit it on smaller craft and had to wait for a C-5 but none were available. You could still see the pile of it on Google Earth up to a few years ago!
Anyway, I noticed that the intel weenies were flailing all about trying to find a new mission. They were all excited about “Cyber Security”. I groaned. I was the Compusec, COMSEC and TEMPEST officer for our part of Europe (all the commissioned officers had left) and I did not want these IDIOTS messing around with our stuff. I actually remember a meeting in 1994 when the Chief Counsel of NSA had to fly out to us to warn the EUCOM Intel and our wing Commander and his fellows to NOT—EVER—use civilian or other military assets to test “attacks”.
But you could see the rest of agency—the ops side—not leagal—were eager to do so.
Anyway, I retired so I don’t know much about what happened beyond this from 1998-2001, so the below is my opinion, not something I observed.
After 9/11, we all became potential terrorists and the rest is history. Meaning the Deep State turned it’s gaze upon US. Bush I think had some constraints on it, but the Obama era turned it into a political machine. Now Mueller “runs” it.
Dick Durbin just got floated in the punchbowl LOL
Yes......but. It seems quite logical to me that Trump has known about all of this ever since Admiral Rogers told him about the 'wiretapping', which caused Trump to move his headquarters the next day. So why, being the street fighter that he is, has he not released things before this?
I believe it's because he realizes that the media response would be a cacophony of the Democrat mantra that "Trump is doing this all to cover up his own Russian collusion". The story would all be about Trump's Russian Collusion, rather than about Obama's treason.
Trump has needed to play his hand close to his vest until the appropriate time. I believe (hope?) the time is nearing. This whole story needs to be portrayed correctly not only front pages, but everywhere else, too, and it needs to go on for months. It needs to go on so long, that convicting Obama, Lynch, and Comey becomes obvious to even the most die hard Democrat partisans. The memo is only a start. The story actually started several weeks ago when the Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz began releasing some of the text messages of Strzok and Page, and some other documents. His coming reports and other documents will keep on coming. The whole story needs to keep coming out, but SLOWLY enough to keep it on the front pages for months. In my opinion, that's the only way justice will prevail.
Certainly makes sense.
In a way the Hawaiians want us to believe they are so incompetent that one dude erroneously hitting the wrong button could cause the chaos that was caused.Could be. But I find it hard to believe.
Problem here is the issue will probably never be investigated which is what needs to happen. No one will ever get to the bottom of what happened. Only the rhetoric from Hawaiians who are notorious liars.
Dream on Dicky
We simply want legal immigration based on merit
Obama was the divider.
Words of wisdom.Great post.
Good point. That and get and keep power--political power.
LOL you are quickly becoming Freeperized, too bad they don’t put you on the panel!!
I found myself yelling at the TV as Sharyll interviewed some RATagandist defending the NYT and the "news industry".
Must have been a good report.
