It's not going to be easy for any military members overseas to watch the NFL playoffs on TV on Sunday. One alternative: watching the AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Jaguars right here on CBSSports.com. Due to the government shutdown, the Pentagon has announced that the American Forces Network (AFN) won't be active until things are back up and running again in Washington DC. The AFN is the easiest way for soldiers to stay on top of American entertainment when they're deployed outside the country, but it's funded by the government, which is why it's down right now.
AFN regularly shows NFL playoff games; however, with the network currently offline, Eagles, Vikings, Patriots and Jaguars fans deployed overseas won't be able to watch the the AFC Championship or NFC Championship on the network on Sunday, and that's likely not going to change unless the shutdown somehow ends over the next 24 hours.

>>Some in the Service might not care.<<
The National Felons League is full of anti-American garbage, so I would not lower myself by watching them.
GIs aren't snowflakes and are perfectly capable of making the decision of whether or not to watch football.
Virtue signaling. It's not just for lefties!
Who the f*** are you to tell the troops what they need?
Who the f#%k am I? Someone who recognizes the enemy within the NFL. I’m sorry that you don’t. Keep supporting that Communist b$&sh&t!
You don't get to tell us what we should and shouldn't be watching, particularly today while I and all my other fellow warfighters are working for free. I'm not 12 and you're not my dad so GFY.
Go Jags!
F$&% your NFL. I hope the Patriots win every year until Brady retires to ruin it for the rest of you blind NFL supporters.
Go,Pats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful day here in Foxboro-——except for traffic. :-)
.
It’s not like the NFL gives a damn about our military. Why should our military give a damn about the nfl?
hahahaha. Some of us have lives that do not revolve around a bunch of "men" playing a children's game.
