OKLAHOMA CITY Drivers across Oklahoma can expect to pay more on some turnpikes next year.
On Tuesday, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority voted to increase the tolls of some routes by 2.5 percent in January.
Experts predict that the increase will cost drivers between 5 cents and 10 cents more on their trip.
As you may remember, tolls were increased on the states turnpikes in March by about 12 percent. At that time, turnpike officials warned that rates would increase again in 2018 and in 2019.
Officials say another 2.5 percent increase is expected in 2019.
“I need to go the entire distance.”
I can assure you they take the entire amount from you at the mid-point. You get a rebate if you exit at any ramp before you arrive at the end-point.
The McD is about 3 miles distant from the mid-point toll collection plaza. The toll plaza is parallel to the turnpike roadway but separated from the main lanes. If you are westbound, you are still westbound while in the toll plaza, no looping is involved.
I just did the Google map - it’s the one I’m thinking of. 377 and 44 - I guess 377 is called 8th Ave there?
Which “there” are you referring to?
The McD is not very far from the collection point at the off-ramp.
