The bill takes 60 votes. Only 5 Democrat yes votes isn’t enough since there’s only 51 GOP senators.
Realistically, I think if it was close Dem votes would have shifted.
From my point of view the Senators in both parties look bad - at this point they have devolved to debating 3 week vs. 4 week extensions when they should be debating the content of the bills, and actually draw up and pass a budget, instead of playing a game.
