Case in point: The Villages, near Ocala, Florida. This is a conservative stronghold, and is mostly inhabited by retired New York and New Jersey residents, mostly white, heavily Catholic. These are the sort of voters who caused several Northeastern counties that Obama and Clinton carried to the Republican column.
