Trump heading to Pennsylvania to back GOP candidate Rick Saccone in key special House race

President Trump is throwing his weight behind a fellow Republican's battle to keep an open House seat in GOP hands Thursday, in what could be a key bellwether for the November midterm elections.

Rick Saccone will face off against Democrat Conor Lamb on March 13 in a push to succeed former Republican Rep. Tim Murphy’s 18th Congressional District seat. Murphy resigned in October over a sex scandal in which his mistress claimed the pro-life conservative congressman pressured her to have an abortion.

“Will be going to Pennsylvania today in order to give my total support to RICK SACCONE, running for Congress in a Special Election (March 13). Rick is a great guy. We need more Republicans to continue our already successful agenda!” Trump tweeted.

The left-wing wackos are already jumping all over this race. We need to crush them in this special election. Rick Saccone is a patriot and a conservative. He's a committed Christian and would certainly not be a RINO in Congress. We need to organize and show the rat media that they can't pick off these seats in these low-turnout special elections.

You can donate to the campaign here:

Rick is a guy that is worth donating to.

We have our work cut out for us. His opponent is not a left wing nut job. He’s a Marine, blue collar kind of guy, with a moderate platform, imo. It’s going to be a tough race.

He plays a moderate, but he isn’t. I know folks who know him personally, He’s very, very liberal. He’s playing the game because that district isn’t liberal.

Didn't I say President Trump had a plan?

He isn't going to let the GOP get away with their "Sit on your hands to resist Trump plan" succeed.

Are they really sweating the election that much? I don’t see any win for Trump by jumping into the middle.

This election and the ones in November have to be treated like the 2016 election. We gotta have that same motivation and get everyone out to vote! We can’t give power back to the left or we’re toast as a nation. I look at the two states where I grew up, Connecticut and California, and that’s what will be in store for the nation if Dems win in November! I will say though I’m extremely concerned about voter fraud. The Dems will cheat massively and we can’t pretend it won’t happen!

Conservatives need to get to the polls. What IS IT with their APATHY?

Saccone’s radio ads are great. Corey Lamb is an Ivy League trust fund baby who supports Nancy Pelosi on everything!

The media has gone all out in support of any democrat they can push over the line in these special elections. We have to start fighting back. President Trump realizes this.

They know that this district is very Conservative, so the local Democrats picked Lamb who is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

They think they can keep turnout low, get their base to vote, and steal this one.

Here is an except from CityandStatePa regarding the game that the Democrats are playing here: "Publicly, Lamb seems to be trying to split the difference. After being selected by the county committees that make up the 18th District to run in the March 13 special election, Lamb told Weigel, “I come from a Catholic background, (but) choice is the law of the land.” But when asked for specifics, like if he supports public funding for abortion, he’s ducked questions from the Post-Gazette and WESA."

We do need the votes. A consideration for conservatives, however, is that they are often busy with work and family.

Any Democrat by definition is a left wing nut job. Some just hide it better than others. If you need an example of a former military member who is a leftist whacko, look no further than John Kerry.

**********
The name of the game is permanent campaign mode. His plan should have begun the moment he was elected. Otherwise, his plan will be too little and too late, as it was with Roy Moore.

Of course, the Democrat won’t be a moderate once he takes the House seat but will vote the straight Pelosi line. But can PA people see that? And will Republicans bother to get off their duffs and even vote?

We have our work cut out for us.

I'm a poll watcher and live in the 18th district. I'm glad murph is gone, he was a dirt bag rino before he got caught with his pecker out.

I normally only poll watch for the Presidential election but for this one I will make an exception and spend my time watching the demonRATS trying to cheat.

I don't know how this will turn out but Rick should win by 5-10 points.

Looking forward to President Trump in the burgh today.

This is a very conservative district; he shouldn't need momentum. If Saccone wins then it's because he was supposed to win and Trump's influence will be discounted. But it he were happen to lose? Then you have Saccone and Moore and the appearance that a Trump endorsement is a kiss of death.

Great! That sounds encouraging. Here in my side of the state, we have Costello..not exactly in the mold of the President. We have a large “Indivisible” presence as well as the Hillary wimmen.. Ryan’s challenger in the fall is a former military member, female, with a gay child. All the blocks checked.these people moving in will wreck Chester County..
