lol
Did I hear that right: they were serving the warrant on a female perp for “making terroristic threats” when a male there fired on the officers.
I pray their aim is accurate. I don’t want to see this ahole in court saying he wanted to kill more of them.
They’re still working on IDing the perps...
Okaaaay....
Thats just not true - it was reported live from the scene. And was all over the local media...and later the MSM. Just like they are today...it’s 2:16PM and WGAL is live at the preser.
The female suspect is in custody. So they’re still trying to ID the male who was there and did the shooting...
The warrant was for the woman who had made terroristic threats with a weapon, per the press conference.
There were at least 7 LEOs from multiple agencies at the premises to serve the warrant. Outlet just named the perp, but since they didn’t show the name or spell it, I’m not gonna try. Apparently she used a weapon while making those threats.
Did you see the perp’s name spelled?
Fed Marshal dead
York City Police Officer undergoing surgery right now, expected to survive
Harrisburg City Police Officer shot in body armor.. no injuries
Let me clarify: the female perp has been named. The shooter has not.
warrant for the arrest of Shayla Lynette Towles Pierce
The York City officer was identified as Kyle Pitts, a 10-year veteran of the force who has three children.
Thanks...
Thanks! Considering the type and number of the manpower used, I wonder what the nature of the threat/s was/were.
They already have, and they have killed innocent citizens as a result.
Agreed. There are many stories in the news about home invasions, and how they usually go very bad for a defenseless homeowner. If I am awakened from my sleep in the middle of the night by someone breaking down my door, I am going to shoot first and ask questions later. While I don't consider myself a cop-basher or cop-bootlicker, the objective truth is that a search warrant is a home invasion. It's only a judge's signature on a piece of paper that makes it a legal home invasion.
The aggressive attack in the dead of night is what Stalin's NKVD did, and Alexander Solzhenitsyn asked "what if we had resisted?" Well, Americans are armed, and they will resist if they believe they are under assault by criminals. And that is an entirely reasonable assumption to make when unknown people kick down your door in the middle of the night.
Police need to reconsider the stormtrooper tactics for the protection of the community and for themselves. If the police have an arrest warrant, they need to call the person out and give him a reasonable chance to surrender. If they have a search warrant, they need to come in the day, knock and announce and only resort to the stormtrooper tactics if they are denied entry. Oh sure, they say they need to "prevent destruction of evidence." Well, they need to balance that against the need to prevent destruction of cops.
Then direct this at the OP who suggested letting the police “shoot first and ask questions later”. I am not the one that suggested creating the jack boots here. and I dont have time to put up with politically correct language.
If the police under estimated their target, then that is what happened. It doesnt give the next bunch of police the right to act with impunity.
I do agree
Where are the “good” cops protesting the bad behavior of their comrades? They’re part of the problem because they won’t dare recognize it.
