Trump ex-aide Bannon agrees to Mueller probe interview, avoiding grand jury

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon has reached agreement with U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller to be interviewed by Mueller’s investigators rather than appearing before a grand jury, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

Bannon, who was a close adviser during President Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign and in his first months in office, had been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in Mueller’s probe of links between Russia and Trump’s campaign.

But the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Mueller offered Bannon the option of being interviewed instead and Bannon accepted. It was unclear when the interview would take place.

The reason Bannon agreed to interview rather than Grand Jury is that he can have his lawyer present at interview, not at Grand Jury. Judging from the Congressional thing, this will be done in close coordination with White House. This is what pissed off the “deep stater’s” because they thought there was a split between these two. But, you will notice that Trump is stronger after this book, not weaker. Who is being played? I don’t think this book is at all a “problem” but instead a means of keeping the narrative that had served Trump so well during the first year going, at least long enough for each aspect of the left’s false narrative to be burnt upon the straw men this book creates. This is why Trump has seemingly been fanning the fire of this book rather than do the textbook 101 moves to shut it down. They are now talking a TV series. You will know you the left has really really been played if Trump starts tweeting to help this series get viewers.
