Full title: CNN’s Sanjay Gupta roasted for stating Trump has heart disease after White House doctor gives clean bill of health
CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta was ridiculed across social media on Wednesday for declaring that President Trump has heart disease.
White House physician Ronny Jackson said on Tuesday that Trump was in "excellent health" after conducting the president’s physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center last week. Jackson answered a variety of questions from skeptical reporters during a press briefing and repeatedly stated that Trump was perfectly fine, with the exception of needing cholesterol medicine and being slightly overweight.
But on Wednesday morning Gupta, who did not examine Trump, took Jackson’s data and declared that Trump has heart disease, prompting instant ridicule from people on both sides of the political aisle.
“This is math. This is based on the numbers that Dr. Jackson provided,” Gupta said. “The president has heart disease.”

Why would anyone trust a doctor who “diagnoses” heart disease based on a couple of risk factors (slightly overweight, takes cholesterol medication) and profound hatred of the subject? In contradiction to the doctor who actually saw the subject?
One can either say the doctor who examined President Trump is lying about basic facts, or one can say President Trump is in quite good health for a man of his age.

I would suggest more and more doctors are shying away from the statins and cholesterol heart disease linkage. My primary doc just says don’t worry about it unless you are obese and totally inactive. As he said: “90% of the drug studies are faked and flawed”. He prescribes for high blood pressure, which he considers more important that cholesterol levels, using the tried and true generics that have been around for years.

The essence of the cholesterol scam. The numbers are based on blood measurements, meaning, it’s circulating.
The problem is when it collects on the walls of arteries to a degree of noticeable obstruction. When in the heart, that’d be heart disease.
High blood levels are correlated with heart disease.
A correlation is not equivalence.
The test for heart disease is a stress test, ECG, and imaging.
If Gupta claims heart disease based on a cholesterol test, he’s a fraud.

Of course. My point is that every single POTUS could have dropped dead one morning. These people are suddenly acting as if every POTUS must be perfectly risk free for any possible health risk. When I was in college the 20 yr old head of a frat dropped dead one morning from a brain aneurysm. Perfect health is a myth. 40 plus years as a healthcare professional.
