This is NOT fake news - I had the misfortune to have to walk through the South-of-Market area recently several times. There's has always been the pervasive smell of urine on Market Street and SOMA, along with areas where you can see the glint of used needles on the ground, but these days you also get treated to the sight of human feces on the streets.

I've been to China, I've been to India - in both countries, I saw city streets in better shape than SF south of Market. SF literally is a sh**hole these days.
