What does my taking an elective as an adult have to do with teaching kids on the taxpayer dime something they could get in Sunday School?

I have written my personal letter of support to Betsy DeVos. She had influence over us in MEXICO. We were inspired with her passion on a radio interview when she confronted the status quo as seeing changes in medical, agro, aviation, genetics, electronics, but we follow the SAME paradigms and belief system over 200 years old in Education. We started a school in Mexico, Parent governed, Internet connected in English, with a TON of help and support from MOM AND DAD. We have a lot of volunteers so tuition is low, but yeah, it was Betsy DeVos that tipped our scales and started the ball to roll. Go Betsy Devos. Shake them all up. Especially in the inner cities.

I was kind of expecting to hear of great things from DeVos and Carson as well. I’m sure they’re working away, but I thought we’d hear of some major accomplishments before now.
Our daughter’s public school has a character quality emphasized each week.... we laugh each time it comes home ( and ask the teacher what Absolute Authority decides on these qualities - implying they ARE, indeed, trying to instill Biblical values !!! )

The “mainstream” media do not cover them so you don’t hear about them unless you go to their websites. The media is too busy calling Trump a racistsexisthomophobeislamaphobehitlernazi, etc. They have no time for education and housing policy changes and discussions.
Her crusade has long been for K-12 school choice - bust up the Government/teachers Union monopoly, and have more of an education free marketplace, where good schools grow, and bad ones wither away.
Charter Schools (Privately/Corporately run) and school vouchers to give the poor a choice on the school for their kids has been central to her career.
She has been devoted to this cause for a long time (as a charitable commitment, not to make money). I’d expect her to hang on there and slug it out, until she gets what she wants implemented.
We will see what she accomplishes over time, but if nothing else, her appointments and hires will have their effects.
New crazy leftist initiatives from the Dept. of Ed seem to have stopped cold.
Oh, please cite those ‘good values’ from the Koran, Kindly include the verse numbers.
