The comic book artist, Aubrey Sitterson, thought the original character was "too alt-right". After an "unexpected" lack of sales on a G.I. Joe comic book series "Scarlett’s Strike Force" by the same author, IDW Publishing fired Sitterson. IDW is now well on the way to bankruptcy.
My brother-in-law is an avid comic book collector. But after complaining about the liberal re-do of GI Joe and other comic heroes, he stopped buying most of them. Along with many other collectors. He's hoping they go under or return to traditional characters. He told me about the feminization of Thor, GI Joe and others as well as the introduction of gay characters, and it is killing the comic book market. People don't want to buy that crap.
How far the once good GI Joe comic has fallen.
The 80s ones with accompanying commercials were best.
I haven’t read a comic book in a couple of years at least.
Aren’t there any conservatives,prolifers,decent cartoonists who can create comics?????
