Trump admin resumes accepting DACA renewals after court order

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said on Saturday that it has begun allowing certain young, undocumented immigrants to renew protections under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The move comes after U.S. District Judge William Alsup issued a preliminary injunction this week blocking President Trump's decision to end the Obama-era program, which granted temporary reprieve from deportation to hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, often called "dreamers."

"Due to a federal court order, USCIS has resumed accepting requests to renew a grant of deferred action under DACA," USCIS said in an update posted online Saturday.

"Until further notice, and unless otherwise provided in this guidance, the DACA policy will be operated on the terms in place before it was rescinded on Sept. 5, 2017," the update said.

Although this ruling is from an activist judge and contrary to Constitutional law, contrast Trump's handling of this to the many LEGAL rulings that were ignored by the previous Scofflaw in Chief. It's nice having a president that actually obeys the law.

You mean obeys the "legal system", as opposed to the "law". DACA was created by executive fiat - in contravention of actual law, including the US Constitution.

How about we put an injunction to shut that judge’s orders and that judge itself.

Sick and tired of these pimps running all over us

“Temporary is forever.”

DACA=Deferred action for child arrivals.
Deferred means delayed
action means deportation.
child arrivals= illegals apprehended but not deported due to Obama’s illegal order.
You got that right. The will of the American people is being stymied by a cadre of black-robed tyrants.
If President Trump doesn’t start saying, “We are no longer recognizing illegal orders from partisan courts” and start directing ICE to move—regardless of what the Democrats want, achieved through their judges—then its going to be a frustrating three years for those of us who voted for change.
Something like, Why vote for Republicans if they aren’t going to do jack? The Democrats are thumbing their noses at us.

Our form of government has 3 separate, but equal branches. One actually has no power over the other. Trump can tell the court, thanks for your opinion but I choose to ignore you. Unfortunately, most voters don’t know this so, Trump goes through the motions of taking these things to the Supreem Court to be overturned. Until then, we live with these renegades.

This is why Trump is a moron for not ending DACA as soon as he took office and trying to play political games.
