We do have an immigration policy based on existing laws. The problem is that we are not enforcing those laws. That said, we do need to change some of our polices to reduce the unneeded flow of immigrants. Going to a merit based system will solve a lot of problems along with better enforcement that includes a border wall, mandatory e-verify, the elimination of the diversity visa lottery program, eliminating the problem of visa overstays, and an end to chain migration.
As log as we let the dems lie their way out of issue after issue we will keep losing. Sooner or later the light of truth has to be the rule instead of the exception.
I agree. If we don't drastically reduce legal immigration, the Dems will be the permanent majority party within a decade. Demography is destiny.
Simply brilliant had to be repeated.

I have a theory that I voiced among a mixed group of pubbies and socialists on Friday.I Got a mixed review. My theory is that jobs like maids, dish washers, fast food workers, and bascially many entry level jobs are sabotaged by illegals who are willing to do many of them on a cash under the table basis. Often times working for far less than the jobs would pay on a legal basis.
My take is that illegals run the costs of legal, honorable jobs down to the point where employers expect to pay lower than should be prices for that job.
If an illegal worker is willing to work as a maid for $5.00 per hour instead of $10. or $12 which might be paid for the job that position is being sabotaged and it's all due to illegal migration that was not stopped, employers looking the other way and law enforcement not enforcing the law.
Stop it and we might have fewer people on welfare and higher wages for jobs that are absolutely necessary. Also hire a maid for $12. an hour and you might not need as many, you might get better people and not need as many at a lower rate.Cost would remain static.
