The US has no responsibility for the mess Haiti is.
We have tried to help but unless the Hatians themselves get on board with cleaning up the corruption in their government and elsewhere, it’s not going to change.
Actually, I recall that Bill Clinton, when President, used the U.S. military to reinstall the dictator Baby Doc Duvalier after he was ousted. So the U.S. under Clinton *was* responsible for at least some of Haiti’s recent woes.
