Jobim says it was total radio/internet silence for 40mins before the ‘false alarm’ was given.

I cannot say at this point that everyone had the same experience that I had, but I could
find nothing on radio or internet or from cell phone alert that told me what the disposition
was during this time. Tulsi was sending tweets, but why on earth would I be aware of
that? I called friends who were all equally in the dark. One friend (a retired naval officer)
heard our Big Island civil defense chief say that the "nuclear" threat was a false alarm.
Nothing had been said about a NUCLEAR threat, although everyone immediately
construed as much. But for the civil defense chief to insert that word was utterly careless,
and indicative of this event from start to finish.
