Just heard Sen John Cornyn’s reply, to the same question, on our local news.
Not a Cornyn fan, but I think his reply was the appropriate one......
....I wasn’t present, in that meeting, however, I choose not to be distracted from real issues we are dealing with.

They also played cRuz’s self-aggrandizing statement. I’m not sure if I was more disgusted by his terrible statement, or his ‘now, look...look at me take over this podium and make this about me’ body language. Blechhhhhh.
Thanks for that information. Not a Cornyn fan either, but that response was masterful. Cornyn has his eye on the bigger picture, while Cruz has his eye on...himself.
