Six senators getting together on their own to present something is not a “Senate Plan”. The President was right to tell them to go away.
If something gets through the House and the Senate and lands on his desk as finished legislation, then he will sign it. That’s what he meant by that comment, and they know it. He also knows nothing will get through the House and the Senate.
