I do not have subscription to WSJ, but first saw the report on Sputnik...https://sputniknews.com/us/201801121060691132-trump-fbi-employees-traitors/

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump said Thursday that an FBI agent once involved in the special counsel’s Russia probe committed “treason,” and he called for Republican investigators in Congress to conclude their probes swiftly.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - US President Donald Trump said in an interview that text messages exchanged between two agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation involved in the Russia probe were treasonous, US media reported.

In an interview with Trump on Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that the president said the messages sent between Agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page in the summer of 2016 amounted to treason because they were critical of him.

Strzok was removed from the Special Counsel's investigation when the texts were uncovered and Page only worked for the Special Counsel's office temporarily.

Loud & Clear Revealed: FBI Infiltrated Trump Presidential Campaign Earlier, Politico has cited copies of the Justice Department's documents which detail how two FBI agents, assigned to the Russia probe, were busted for referring to Trump as an “idiot” while the presidential race was still on. The Justice Department turned over the copies of the messages to Congress later.

An estimated 375 texts were handed over, revealing how Strzok and Page had mocked Trump since 2015, according to the Justice Department.

Those items mentioned in that post were designed to make fun of Trump and make light of their texts, mentioning only those that called Trump names.

Treason in the Constitution

***1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.***

Trump considers attempting to overthrow the duly elected government of the USA to be levying war against the USA. Makes sense.

Strzok worked an operation designed to overthrow our government, his “insurance policy”.

“This is the FBI we’re talking about—that is treason,” the president said. “That is a treasonous act. What he tweeted to his lover is a treasonous act.”

"Treason" is almost as overused as "racism" is. And as misapplied.

If he’s a traitor, charge him, arrest him, try him, find him guilty, and imprison him.

If somewhere along the line there’s evidence of Obama’s, Clinton’s, Lynch, (et al) and/or Comey’s treason, then charge them, arrest them, try them, find them guilty, and execute them.

Trump is the President. The President is the chief executive law enforcement officer. He needs to do his job. Direct the DOJ to DO their Job.

I’m SICK OF THIS SLOW DRIP.

And while you’re at it, Mr. President charge the Media with treason as well - and hang the lot of them.

Not a lawyer, but I think sedition is more accurate.

Apparently the FBI has engaged a "reputation management company." I used to go to their facebook for laughs to see hundreds of comments accusing them of corruption on every post. Now they delete all but the most poorly written ones and add in lots of posts giving kudos and/or praise.

Reputation management companies do that and more when someone is having a "reputation problem."

Lisa Page was hired for Team Mueller in June 2017. A simple Google search says she was hired for her specialty in white collar crime and Money Laundering. There was never anything said about a temporary position. No one knows when she left the Team Meuller. This may be a critical point with Meuller holding the Bag, so to speak. When was she let go. where did she go? Why did she leave?
Remember, if we give them enough time they will have answers.

It’s not the critical comments directed at Then-candidate Trump, but the act of attempting to manipulate the outcome of the presidential election that makes the actions and communications of these agents treasonous.

President Trump is preparing the battlefield.

If he would have gone on the offensive early he would have been impeach. The left had controlled the narrative and they had many people believing their lies.

It appears he has been slowly tearing them down and we are now entering a phase where anything the left says will not be believed by anyone other than their core base.

There is enough information out now about the DOJ and FBI that it is easy to believe agents have in fact committed treason (attempt to over throw the government).

Please stay safe Mr. President, your enemies are being pushed into a box and they very well may strike out.

I hate to appear tin foil hatish, but has this been
confirmed?

Not that I doubt anyone’s veracity here, but there is much...um...mendacity goin’ on lately.

The president calling this treason should lead Sessions, if he can be woken up, to order an investigation. And since this is an investigation of the DOJ/FBI, he should appoint an independent counsel. Hey, Christie? He’s recently out of work. Or, heck, anyone who isn’t presently employed at the DOJ/FBI.

... the Wall Street Journal reported that the president said the messages sent...amounted to treason because they were critical of him.

I seriously doubt that Trump said it is treason to criticize him. They committed treason by working to overturn and subvert the free election of a president and the orderly transfer of power.

Man, I’d be scared sh!tless if POTUS said I committed treason. There’s a stiff penalty if you are found guilty.

How is what Strzok and Page did fundamentally different that what the Rosenberg’s did? The means may have differed, but the objective to overthrow the US was the same.
