If employers want 2 weeks’ notice for employees leaving, they must provide 2 weeks’ notice (or pay) for severance.

What I want and what I get are two different things. There is no law that says that an employee must give two weeks notice why must a employer provide any different. Is it right to give as much notice as possible, of course. Should it be a law, of course not.

30 days pay for employees who work ovr 20 hours per week is actually required by federal law. So, that’s a little better.
