Here’s my 1990’s Best Buy story (happened more than once):
Me: I’m returning this electronic device. It doesn’t work. And I’m still within the return period.
Best Buy employee: You must have broken it. No refund.
Me: What? I demand to see the manager.
Best Buy manager: You must have broken it. No refund.
(Contrast that with Amazon’s return policy today. No muss. No fuss.)
I ordered a replacement windshield for my Willys jeep from Amazon.
It arrived on time but the trip was kind of rough though. There was a tiny bit of structural damage.
I figured I’ll return the frame and contacted Amazon.
Amazon told me to keep it. With a little force, I got the frame on and looks pretty good.
I guess it was deemed to much trouble to send it back.
