Do you remember when Donald Trump’s “inexperience” terrified Democrats? That was before it looked as if Oprah might run for president.
On Sunday at the Golden Globes, Oprah Winfrey gave a speech condemning sexual harassers and repeatedly warning abusers that “their time is up.” Oprah’s oratory had the left and the mainstream media — but I repeat myself — giddy with the possibility of a Democratic presidential bid.
From its official Twitter account, NBC wrote, “Nothing but respect for OUR future president,” accompanied by a picture of Oprah. It has since taken the tweet down. CNN started an Oprah 2020 webpage to provide “live updates.” Asked about presidential ambitions, Oprah’s longtime partner Stedman Graham told the LA Times, “She would absolutely do it.”
On the surface, Oprah has four things you’d look for in a presidential candidate. She is charismatic, wealthy, well-known and well-liked.
Running for president won’t change the first three things. It would, however, harm Oprah’s popularity.

Those pictures James Woods posted on his Twitter account only scratches the surface of the frequent hobnobbing Oprah Winfrey had with the now-disgraced Harvey Weinstein for at least 20 years. And that’s a major public-relations issue that will be extremely difficult to overcome.
Sad to say, I think you are right. The theater known as this year’s “Golden Globes” shows where the Trump/deplorable/woman abusing a-holes want this to go. The only thing that will fix this will be to prosecute the corruption that is associated with this group of scumbags. That would leave Oprah to stand or fall on her own merits. If she is a self-made woman, then she won’t miss having an army of corrupt fixers.

Not only did Oprah, Meryl, et al. know all about Weinstein, they currently know about the Hollywood abusers and pedophiles who haven’t been outed yet. All this “time’s up” grandstanding about Weinstein and others is such a sham, but Hollywood is very good at fakery and pretending.

Don’t be fooled, the RATs never considered the Weinstein affair to be problematic — sexual harassment is an accepted activity in the lefty RAT world.
If America can accept an Obama it can embrace an Oprah.
