A host of celebrities are already backing her possible candidacy. "I want her to run for president," Meryl Streep said after Winfrey's speech. Rev. Jesse Jackson wrote Oprah "is eminently qualified to be President. She is a patriot, she has integrity ... she can raise our moral standing in the world." Her possible candidacy also received support from MSNBC's Joy Ann Reid, comedian Larry Wilmore, actor John Stamos, and singer/actress Janelle Monae.
But even as Oprah is often portrayed as an unblemished American success story, she would bring to any political campaign significant baggage. Specifically, here are 12 skeletons in Oprah's (presumably expansive) closet:

You betcha. It wouldn’t matter if Oprah has 12 skeletons in her closet, or 1200.
Oprah is very liberal, and some of her actions have a racist tinge to them. But I will give the old gal credit for something. Oprah made her own way in the world. She’s not a cardboard phony (like Obama) or a cynical opportunist (like Hillary).
Her odds of getting the nomination just tripled.
All 12 points are resume enhancers for Dems.

Trump’s skeletons didn’t derail him. If Winfrey runs, and I honestly don’t think she’s crazy enough to want to, then her base will support her, skeletons and all.
They will try, of course, but remember, Obama was sprung on us as a relative unknown. That allowed Axelrod to go in and do a "sweep" of Obama's past, covering up or altering the worst before opinions could be formed about him. There really is no covering up the sketchy, kooky stuff Oprah has done, because millions watched it on TV over the past 30 years.
